Black Walnut Point Natural Resources Management Area (NRMA)

About Black Walnut Point Natural Resources Management Area (NRMA)

This 53-acre site is on the southern tip of Tilghman Island. It is operated by the Maryland Park Service and offers incredible views of the Chesapeake Bay. Rugged paths crisscross the property and a dirt road traces the water’s edge. Fishing and bird-watching are the primary activities here.

The NRMA is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Parking is not permitted on the facility, but vehicles can be parked a short distance away in a Talbot County maintained parking area.
