Gas Plant Memorial

Easton was one of the first American towns to have gas-powered street lamps. Today a memorial honoring veterans, policemen and firemen sits on the site of the 1860 factory that converted coal to natural gas. The curved bench under the flag stand is an excellent place to stop and rest during a walking tour.
