December 2, 2016 @ 7:00 pm

“American Songwriter Magazine” has called Amy Black “a powerful, authentic, talented and above all soulful new entry in the rootsy singer/songwriter ranks;” “Blues in Britain” writes, “Black is blessed with a deeply soulful voice that melds elements of Dusty Springfield, Mavis Staples and Alberta Hunter.” And the “Philadelphia Inquirer” calls her, “an appealing cross between Bonnie Raitt and Mary Chapin Carpenter.”

Currently living in Nashville after moving from her long-time home of Boston, Amy is known for original songs influenced by southern tradition, soulful vocals, and energetic, heartfelt live performances.

Americana and roots music magazine “No Depression” observes of her live performances, “Black has a rich voice layered with a light, natural vibrato. It’s a smooth, seductive sound and one that easily commands attention.”
