Originally created by Talbot County P.E.A.C.E. and debuting in 2000, the Multicultural Festival is a celebration of the rich diversity within our community, including the distinct heritages dating back several generations, and members of the numerous ethnic groups who have come to call this area their home.
Friends & neighbors have gathered at Idlewild Park in Easton, MD to celebrate the cultural diversity of our community through music, dance, art, crafts, games, food and more. The Festival provides programming that positively showcases cultural differences and encourages people to share and celebrate in unity.
This year is unlike any other due to the ongoing pandemic, it has led to a great addition of providing vaccinations as Choptank Community Health is partnering with the Avalon Foundation and other sponsors to provide vaccines for those 18+ years old. There will be all the fun activities of years past as well as the newness of the Wellness Day portion of the program with entertainment, food and fun activities for everyone!
If you are interested in sponsoring this event, acting as a health/wellness exhibitor or if you are with a group that would like to utilize this event to vaccinate your members contact Suzy Moore at email@example.com. For more information about the vaccine or the vaccination process contact Lucie Hughes at Choptank Community Health at firstname.lastname@example.org. More information will be coming soon at avalonfoundation.org
