We could wax all poetic about this fine British singer-songwriter, but instead just take a look at this recent No Depression review of one of her shows:
“Not many performers can take an often overly sentimental standard like ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and make it a stunner by completely transforming the song solely by force of their own style.
“With a voice like fine china, or morning sunshine in a field of wildflowers, or honey, or spun gold, or Baccarat crystal – you get the idea – Georgina Callaghan (who simply goes by Callaghan professionally) treated a sold-out crowd…to blossoms of pop color and gentle, tender love songs from her three albums, as well as covers of Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ and The Staple Singers’ ‘I’ll Take You There.’”
What more could we say? Except to really encourage you to come out and support this up-and-coming fresh talent in a venue that’s a perfect match for a talent like hers.
