A lively evening of Latino music by the popular DC-based band, Cantare, kicks off this summer’s Clean Water Concert Series.
Led by vocalist Cecilia Esquivel and guitarist Dani Cortaza, both from Argentina, Cantare draws from the musical heritage of the Caribbean, and Central and South America to perform an entertaining blend of songs in Spanish and Portuguese, while sharing the music’s cultural and historical background.
“The concert series is a great way for families and friends to come out and learn about all the progress being made on the health of our rivers and streams,” said CBF Director Alan Girard. “It’s also a safe place for people of various cultures and backgrounds to be together and enjoy the ties that bind us – music, the environment, and the rich diversity of people who make our Eastern Shore community special.”
Ethnic food vendors will be onsite during this opening show!
Pre-concert activities start at 6 p.m., followed by musical entertainment at 7 p.m.
