The Maryland Pastel Society will feature their exhibit, “Compelling Colors”, at the A.M. Gravely Gallery.
The exhibit is juried by artist John Morrell. Mr. Morrell is an Associate Professor of Painting at George Washington University. He was also the Chair of the Art History department at Georgetown and George Washington Universities. His work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
The Maryland Pastel Society, founded in 1977, is a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion and development of professional, original works of art in the medium of soft pastels and to the creative and technical development of its members.
