As part of the “Importance of Music in Sacred Space” series taking place at the Temple B’Nai Israel, Jason McKinney will bring his artistic talents and musical background to all those attending in his program entitled, “A Jewish Voice Through the Centuries”. As a Boy Scout, Mr. Mckinney learned to play clarinet in New Orleans style, and was invited to play with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. He studied voice, conducting, and composing at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has composed a number of musical pieces and is currently a resident artist and section leader at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC and continues to teach voice privately.
This program is free and all are welcome!
