Motown Concert

Tilghman United Methodist Church is hosting a free concert of Motown music by multi-instrumental saxophone player and singer Everett Spells. Motown music fans won’t want to miss this great concert.  Everyone will enjoy this memorable musical journey!

Growing up in Newport News, Virginia, Everett studied music at Norfolk State University in Norfolk where he received his B.A. in Music and Media in 1982. Since then, Everett has pursued a career in music and is currently playing professionally in the Salisbury area. Everett has performed with such greats as Frank Foster, Dr. Billy Taylor, Dr. Burgess Gardner, Consuella Moorehead, Bill Lee, Steve Wilson, Billy Drummond, Gary Harris, and the Wooten Brothers.

 

Organized to promote community and local artists, the “Music of Tilghman” concerts are sponsored by the Tilghman United Methodist Church and by the Talbot County Arts Council with funds provided by the Talbot County Council and the Towns of Easton, Oxford, and St. Michaels.
