Penny Pistolero, Pony Bones, & Swampcandy

March 10, 2017 @ 8:00 pm

Three great Bay-area bands in one great night of alt-country, blues, folk, indie rock, and more on the Avalon stage…Each band will play a 45-minute set!

Penny Pistolero is a six-piece alt-country Easton band that draws inspiration from bands like: Wilco, Whiskeytown, Deer Tick, and The White Stripes, as well as good ol’ rock-n-roll and outlaw country.

Based out of Annapolis, Pony Bones plays a dynamic blend of folk and indie rock that has made them a staple of the Maryland/DC music scene with their haunting cello-infused arrangements that layer lyrical symbolism over sparse instrumentals.

Swampcandy, an internationally touring, primitive blues-influenced Americana duo from Annapolis, consists of Ruben Dobbs’ aggressive finger-picking and rhythmic style combined with Joey Mitchell’s bass playing, pounding kick drum, and percussive bass throttling.
