Rebecca Pronsky

April 23, 2016 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Rebecca Pronsky is a born and raised Brooklynite whose music is as urban as it is rural, not afraid to be sophisticated (Maverick).

Her songs are gritty and dark, layered and dreamy, bravely disobeying the usual conventions of the Americana genre. She sounds like The Smiths relocated to Nashville (Northern Sky) and her voice conveys the wisdom of experience, over a wash of noirishly twangy guitars (NPR).

In nearly a decade of touring, Rebecca has criss-crossed the US and Europe and shared the stage with Josh Ritter, Shawn Colvin, Freedy Johnston, Patty Larkin, Peter Case, Loudon Wainwright III, Amy Rigby, Wreckless Eric, Blame Sally, and Steve Forbert.
