“Austin Meets Key West”
A night of whiskey-fueled, singer/songwriter debauchery
with Rik Ferrell and special guest Chris Sacks
Two great local talents with two different styles meet for a musical evening filled with righteous Southern sizzle and cool tropical breezes.
As chief songwriter for Eastern Shore roots rockers the Roadhouse Clams, vocalist Rik Ferrell has spread blue-collar Southern Soul from concert halls to biker bars across the US and Canada. With a sound reminiscent of Steve Earle, John Hiatt, Willie Nelson, and vintage Rolling Stones, Rik’s songs are rustic storytelling gems that have helped gain the Clams a fiercely devoted fan base on both sides of the Atlantic.
It’s been said that Maryland-based singer/songwriter Chris Sacks has Caribbean seawater running through his veins. Stemming from the success of his 2009 debut release “Nowhere”, Chris has gained national Tropical Rock cred with musical tales of sunsets and tiki bars, rum drinks and reprobates, as warm and engaging as Florida sunshine.
