If you want to escape from Washington D.C. for a romantic getaway, head to Easton in Talbot County, only about an hour and a half away from downtown D.C. The Washingtonian recently named Easton’s Bartlett Pear Inn on Maryland’s Eastern Shore as one of 5 romantic inns where you can escape from D.C. in three hours or less. The magazine consulted expert Jim Augerinos, president of Perfect Honeymoons & Holiday Travels, to compile this list.
In the story, the writer describers Bartlett Pear Inn as a “husband-and-wife inn [that’s] far away enough from the bustle of the city but close enough for a day trip.” The story continues: “Foodies can dine at the inn’s restaurant, which serves gourmet-style farm-to-table dishes. Many of the menu items are locally sourced and the bread is baked in-house.” The Bartlett Pear restaurant is known as one of the best on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, led by Chef Jordan Lloyd.
