Oxford-Bellevue Ferry

About Oxford-Bellevue Ferry

FERRY CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.

Believed to be America's oldest privately owned ferry, the Oxford-Bellevue route was officially established in 1683, with power supplies at times by sail, sculling, rowing, steam and modern diesel engine. Plying the waters of the Tred Avon River between Oxford and Bellevue on Maryland's Eastern Shore from mid-April through mid-November, it operates seven days a week from most of the season but weekends-only in November.
