About Pickering Creek Audubon Center
We want you to meet more than people! Talbot County boasts a wealth of plants and animals, and an excellent place to experience the bounty is the Pickering Creek Audubon Center. This 400-acre nature center sits on the banks of Pickering Creek, a tributary of the Wye River. It features four miles of trails open from dawn to dusk, two viewing platforms, and an herb garden. The trail system winds through freshwater wetlands, meadows, agricultural fields, pine and mature hardwood forest, with views of pristine Pickering Creek. More than 200 species of birds frequent the Center along with a multitude of other wildlife and wildflowers.
