The Rural Life Museum of Trappe

About The Rural Life Museum of Trappe

This museum collects, preserves, interprets, and displays a broad array of historically significant items, pictures, and documents including many used in rural homes, farms, and industry in the Trappe area. It highlights the accomplishments of locals such as "Nace" Hopkins, a former slave who served in the Union Army and later started a school for African American children, and John Franklin "home Run" baker, who made it to the Baseball Hall of Fame after a storied career as a slugger with the Philadelphia A's and New York Yankees.
