About Talbot Historical Society Museum & Gardens
The Talbot Historical Society collects, preserves, and interprets the material and cultural history of our county. Our collection features more than 60,000 photographs documenting Talbot County history as well as thousands of priceless artifacts. The Mary Jenkins House Museum, which tells the Talbot County story, dates from 1783 and is believed to be the oldest frame house in Easton. The Hill Research Center and Museum houses our research library and files and also hosts revolving exhibits of local interest. Outdoors, the award-winning gardens showcase mature boxwood, a terraced shade garden, an herb garden, fully established perennial beds, and fruit and flowering trees.
