Easton Farmers Market

August 8 @ 8:00 am - December 19 @ 1:00 pm

2020 Easton Farmers Market will take place August 8 – December 19.  Effective August 8, the market will occupy both the parking lot on Harrison Street (its original location) and the other side of the lot that connects to Washington Street. This allows the market to promote appropriate social distancing without losing vendors. *See below for mask requirements.

As one of the earliest settled areas of the United States, the Delmarva Peninsula – including Talbot County and the town of Easton – has a long and proud history of self-sustainment.  The rich farmland and extensive waterways have sustained our economy and provided a way of life for generations of Eastern Shore residents.  In addition, modern consumers have shown a demand for more locally grown, farm to table food goods.

The mission of the Easton Farmers Market is to provide a marketplace for farmers and vendors to sustain their local operations, while at the same time offering consumers a venue that fills their whole plate with local produce.

From local produce growers to watermen and seafood distributors, from bakers to ranchers, the Easton Farmers Market provides an entire meal in a friendly and festive environment.

*Masks that cover both noses and mouths will be required of everyone at the market – vendors and shoppers alike. The new market layout will be such that every other space in the lot(s) will be utilized. Patrons should enter and exit the market through the roads and never cut between vendors. All produce and products will be displayed behind the vendor’s sales tables. Customers will not have direct access to product to keep multiple hands from touching the produce or products. Customers will be served one at a time keeping appropriate social distance from one another.

Pre-ordering and prepaying whenever possible is still encouraged, as is the frequent use of hand sanitizer between transactions.  Go here for more information and to pre-order: https://avalonfoundation.org/easton-farmers-market

Please do not come to the market if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID 19.
