TAISHA ESTRADA trio: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Latin and American Jazz and Popular Music
Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Taisha Estrada’s music is rooted in the traditions of Latin and American jazz, with an innovative, contemporary, multi-genre sound. She engages her audiences through compelling compositions and dynamic stage performances.
Taisha was runner-up in the International Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Jazz Competition, and she was selected for the Strathmore Artist-In-Residence program. Her musical projects have been featured in the Washington Post and NPR’s Tiny Desk show.
Taisha has performed at major D.C. area venues such as Blues Alley, Songbyrd, and Union Stage. We will be enjoying highlights from her debut album, Nostalgia Ajena–which Taisha will also be bringing to the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage on Oct 18.
The program is free and welcoming of all ages: seniors and families, home-schoolers, community groups, retirees. Enjoy a memorable lunchtime break!
