With his unique sound and virtuosic flourishes, Leo Kottke is among the most influential acoustic guitarists to emerge in the 1960s.
Known for an eclectic fingerpicking style that draws on blues, jazz, and folk music, and for syncopated, polyphonic melodies, Kottke has collaborated with Phish bassist Mike Gordon, done studio work with Lyle Lovett, Ricki Lee Jones, and Cowboy Junkies vocalist Margo Timmins, and received two Grammy nominations.
