Join supergroup Ollabelle (named after gospel singer and folk musician Ola Belle Reed) for a spirited evening of early American gospel, folk, and mountain music in the Avalon!
What began as a collective of musicians gathering on the Lower East Side of post-9/11 New York City, Ollabelle now reunites to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first album. Consisting of Glenn Patscha (Bonnie Raitt), Byron Isaacs (The Lumineers), Tony Leone (Little Feat), Fiona McBain (The Nine Seas) and Amy Helm (solo artist), the band has earned the respect of a variety of legendary musicians.
T Bone Burnett signed them to his own imprint on Sony; Richard Thompson booked them for Britain’s Meltdown Festival; Elvis Costello, Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris, Allison Krauss, Larry Campbell and Levon Helm (who was the spiritual godfather of Ollabelle) have all taken turns sitting in with them.
Don’t miss this special night of joyful and exhilarating music performed by this multi-talented quintet!
