In more recent times author James Michener outlined his famous novel, Chesapeake here. Now the Eastern Shore’s most unique historic restaurant with rooms under celebrity Chef Partner, Mark Salter.
The Roberts Cottage is a typical 1890’s working class Waterman’s Cottage.
It has been restored to its original size as a vacation cottage rental. Prior to restoration it had been unoccupied for 28 years and was located on the street front. In 2002 the cottage was moved back approximately 30 feet from the street front and completely restored.
