The first Sunday after Labor Day is National Grandparents Day, a day for spending time with and recognizing the contributions grandparents have made to our lives. National Grandparents Day: See Spectacular Lighthouse Views
Learn about the history, environment, and culture of the Chesapeake Bay region at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The 18-acre sprawling campus includes interactive exhibitions where you can learn to tong for oysters at Waterman’s Wharf, experience life aboard a working fishing boat, explore unique watercraft of the Bay at the working shipyard, and more.
For a perfect view from land, climb the three stories to the top of the Hooper Strait Lighthouse to look out over the Miles River and see working and leisure boats on their way out to the Chesapeake Bay.

From the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, walk to the heart of St. Michaels. Cross the Honeymoon Bridge and turn onto Talbot Street to find shops and boutiques along with a plethora of dining options.
