Where Artists, Audiences, and Acoustics Come Together in Downtown Easton, Maryland!
Now in its 38th year, this two-week festival held each June at the beautifully restored Ebenezer Theater in downtown Easton is a celebration of the ensembles that take on varied periods and styles of music.
Everything audiences love about chamber music, including its intimacy and its variety, is heightened here in a 180-seat theater with finely-tuned acoustics. One of the best-loved aspects of this festival is the fact that musicians do not just simply play, bow and leave. Instead, they stay to field questions from the audience, engaging in an exciting give and take.
Most recently, The Chesapeake Music Festival added a competition for young classical musicians, which brings a new vibrancy to the musical offerings.
