Oysterfest at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

At the end of October, prepare to sip, slurp, and savor at in St. Michaels during OysterFest.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s 18-acre waterfront campus is the perfect backdrop to celebrate Maryland’s favorite bivalve.

What to Expect

Oysters are the star of the show during Oysterfest, which offers a variety of options to enjoy the shelled offerings. The festival also offers local fare, craft beer and spirits, live music, an oyster stew competition, cooking presentations, and activities for children.

Plan Your Visit

Make a weekend of it in St. Michaels: stroll the harbor, visit nearby shops and galleries, and refuel at local seafood spots. Lodging ranges from inns and B&Bs to waterfront hotels, some of which are in walking distance to the CBMM.

Accessibility and Visitor Tips

OysterFest is a family-friendly event. The museum is handicapped accessible, but the parking lot is gravel. Free parking is available at the museum and at select locations throughout St. Michaels.
