This year’s juror for the Members` Exhibition is Peter Nesbett, an art historian, curator, designer, and editor. He is currently the Director of the Mitchell Art Museum at St. John’s College in Annapolis, which, along with AAM, is one of five nationally accredited art museums in the state of Maryland. Previously, he worked at Christie’s and Gagosian Gallery (New York), the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Washington Project for the Arts. He holds an MA in art history from the University of Washington and a BA in Visual Studies from Cornell University. We are thrilled to welcome him here this Friday for the opening of the Members` Exhibition!
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new Welcome Center with a free community event offering authentic Chesapeake experiences and family fun on Saturday, Dec. 2nd! Afterward, guests are invited to explore the new building while also getting a taste of “Winter on the Chesapeake” through themed activities led by CBMM staff and community partners.
