Celebrate the Irish spirit and small town charm in Easton this March.
Every year, the streets of downtown Easton come alive with green, music, laughter, and community spirit as residents and visitors alike gather for the Easton St. Patrick’s Day Parade and related festivities. It’s a beloved local tradition that offers a fun, family-friendly way to ring in spring and celebrate Irish heritage.
Event at a Glance
The parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on March 17 in downtown Easton. The route typically includes the historic streets around Washington, Dover, Harrison, and Goldsborough. The potato races begin immediately following the parade.
If you want to join in (either the parade or the potato race), be sure to register early as spaces are limited.
What to Expect
- A festive parade featuring more than 40 floats, marching bands, decorated golf carts, classic cars, and local businesses showing their Irish pride.
- Immediately following the parade the lively St. Patrick’s Day Potato Race kicks off on Washington Street (near the Talbot County Courthouse). Teams of friends, families, or co-workers balance a potato on a wooden spoon in a relay race during this crowd favorite tradition.
