5 Reasons to Explore Easton this Holiday Season

From charming traditions to family-friendly activities, Easton offers something for everyone, including a unique way to ring in the New Year!  Here’s our top five reasons to explore Easton in 2024:

Gather for Classic Holiday Events

Explore Easton Easton Christmas Parade

Beginning just after Thanksgiving, Easton offers a plethora of holiday events to celebrate the season.  Running from Nov. 30 – Dec. 3 the Festival of Trees returns to the historic Tidewater Inn for the 39th year, where beautifully decorated trees accompanied by performances by local artists and musicians provide the perfect kick-off to the holiday season.  The following weekend, on Dec. 7, a cherished tradition returns as Easton’s Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade brings floats, marching bands, and even a special appearance by the big man himself.  During your visit, make a quick stop by the Talbot Town Shopping Center to take part in one of Easton’s nostalgic traditions and talk to Rudolph

Enjoy the Sounds of the Season

Carols by Candlelight

Experience the magic of choral performances, bell ringers, and holiday music in a candlelit atmosphere during Carols by Candlelight on Saturday, Nov. 30. Held on North Harrison Street in downtown Easton, this free event includes a festive marketplace, hot cocoa, and holiday treats, creating a warm and welcoming start to the season. The Easton Choral Arts presents ‘Gloria!’ during a 7:30 p.m. performance on Dec. 6 and 4 p.m. on Dec. 8.   The Avalon Foundation presents the classic musical, ‘The Sound of Music,’ by a community cast with multiple performances from Dec. 12 through Dec. 22.

Find the Perfect Gift

Easton’s shopping scene will not disappoint, as there are plenty of opportunities to find that perfect gift.  The holiday shopping season unofficially kicks off with Shop Small Saturday on Nov. 30, where you can be one of the first to explore Easton’s newest offering, the Market at Dover Station.  During the month of December, stores will stay open late on Thursdays for Starlight Shopping, which brings with it festival promotions and vibrant energy as well as free carriage rides!  With unique finds on your mind, explore Bluepoint Hospitality’s Holiday Market at the Ebenezer Theater, which opens on Dec. 6th and runs through Christmas Eve.

First Night Talbot
