Who sets the rules for hunting in Talbot County?

Do I need a hunting license? Where do I buy it?
Yes—unless you qualify for a narrow exemption. Buy licenses and required stamps in the new MD Outdoors system (web or app).
Is hunter education required?
For first-time hunters, yes. Maryland requires a one-time Hunter Education certificate (or you can use the apprentice license pathway with a mentor).
What are the general hunting hours?
Most seasons run ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset (species and Sunday exceptions apply). Use DNR’s sunrise/sunset table for exact times.
