About Trippe-Hilderbrandt Gallery
We started as neighbors with small office space studios at Tidewater Studios in 2009.
Don Hilderbrandt was resurrecting his career as a watercolorist after a successful career as urban planner and landscape architect, having traveled and lived internationally as well as across the United States.
Nanny Trippe was rediscovering her eye through the lens and presenting her passion for photography after many years away from the art world.
We discovered we had both portrayed the same well-known local oak tree in our respective mediums. A show exhibiting our tree pieces was presented at Tidewater Studios. The response was so positive about how well our work complemented each other, we decided to open Trippe-Hilderbrandt Studios-a gallery as well as working studio in 2010.
The gallery has wonderful large windows providing great natural light and plenty of viewing space for the artwork. We hope you will enjoy your visit to our gallery!
