Colonel Tench Tilghman Week

This year during the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation we are planning the following three events to celebrate and honor the memory of Colonel Tench Tilghman and all our patriot ancestors:
1. A parade through the streets of Easton starting at the Talbot County Courthouse and ending at Springhill Cemetery
2. A grave marking / wreath laying ceremony at the grave of Solomon Barrott who was the last living member of the Maryland Line who served during the Revolutionary War, died in 1851 at age 88, and who is buried in Springhill Cemetery.
3. A special guest speaker who will present information about the Maryland 400 troops, who served during the Revolutionary War.
