For more than a century, log canoe racing has been the heartbeat of Chesapeake Bay summers — a breathtaking display of skill, teamwork, and heritage. These graceful wooden boats, steeped in Eastern Shore tradition, carry forward a legacy unlike any other on the water. Most races begin at the Tred Avon Yacht Club (membership required), and can be viewed at locations throughout Oxford.
