Nelson Coleman is a great jeweler. Went there for some resizing, batteries and repair of some jewelry. Very helpful, all done in-house. Plus the jewelry they have there is very nice. Have estate jewelry as well. Highly recommend

I am SO impressed with Nelson Coleman Jewlers. They are extremely professional, kind and quick! They took a pair of my late grandmothers earrings and deigned and made my wedding band out of them. A strand of pearls broke while our home was for sale (in Florida), and my engagement ring no longer fit due to arthritis in the knuckle-area. The art of re-stringing pearls is not profitable, per se, thus not commonly offered. Further, I was doubtful my ring could even be enlarged, thus thought I may have to have a new setting. When the dust (somewhat) cleared from the move, I made calls to find a "real" jeweler, in particular, one whose opinion can be trusted for what's best for the piece, and meeting customer expectation. Based on several criteria, Nelson Coleman was my choice, first for work on the pearls. The pearls, purchased in late 19th c. England, belonged to my great-grandmother. Nelson Coleman did a fabulous re-string, returning them looking more lustrous than ever, even the small white gold & diamond clasp appears to have been deep-cleaned, a thoughtful touch! I brought my engagement ring with, thinking if the re-string work was satisfactory, I'd inquire after a re-size, but doubtful. The clerk was more than helpful, exuding knowledgable confidence, assuring me it could, in deed, be re-sized. Grand news, as to me, a new setting would alter the ring's overall sentimentality. She also mentioned adding "sizing beads." Decades ago I worked with fine jewelry but this was an unfamiliar term. She explained thoroughly what the small "dots" of gold would do, and I agreed it seemed a prudent idea. When picking up my ring just a few weeks later I was more than thrilled, that after nearly five years, I could wear my ring again. The goldsmithing is flawless, and the stones flashed from a deep-clean. Most importantly, the Nelson Coleman staff listened to what I needed done, handled the pieces with care, charged accordingly per industry standards, and the work is flawless. Most of my pieces are vintage/antique, thus I'm pleased this "real" jeweler is local. professional, and provides quality work.
