Beautiful place
Oct 31, 2022 · Google ReviewIf you are coming to Oxford, MD, and want a cozy, private little cottage to yourself consider staying at The Nichols House. This is a little building (next to a lovely house) set back from the street that has everything you need for comfort and relaxation. It is a large room with a very comfortable queen sized bed, bathroom, small kitchenette and eating area. Your hostess, Luann, provides coffee and tea for guests and for a small extra fee provides a filling, Continental breakfast of fresh muffins, English muffins, jam, yogurt and juice. The cottage is spotless and lovingly cared for. It is on the main street of town and convenient to shops, restaurants, the park and local market. Luann is a lovely lady who can provide you with information on the area and is available to answer any questions during your stay but certainly respects your privacy!| Oxford is less than half an hour from Easton and St. Michaels and is a quiet alternative to these two destinations. Visiting here truly gives you a feel for life in a small, historical town. The Nichols House, rather than a hotel, is where we will stay when we return to the area!

Nov 24, 2018 · Google ReviewWe just spent the weekend at The Nichols House and it was a wonderful get-away! The privacy of the cottage is a huge bonus while still having the feeling of a bed and breakfast. Luann's hospitality was delightful and we felt welcomed from the on-set. The breakfast basket was well worth the extra fee as it offered a nice variety of items and we had the freedom to eat whenever we wanted to in the morning. Having our own kitchenette was a pleasant perk. The cottage is centrally located – an enjoyable walk to every restaurant in town. This proved to be an excellent find and we would go back!!
Mar 14, 2016 · Google ReviewMy wife and I decided to travel to Oxford for a weekend and booked the Nichols house cottage. The town of Oxford is very picturesque and has plenty of activities (especially when considering the nearby towns of St. Michael's, Easton and Cambridge). The cottage itself is the perfect size for two. The cottage and adjacent grounds are impeccably clean and well-manicured, keeping with the rest of the historic town. Luann was a very gracious host, with lots of information about the area and local events. My wife and I both loved how quiet and private the cottage was; it really was like renting your own mini house. The kitchenette is well appointed with a keurig, toaster, two electric burners, microwave, and mini fridge/freezer. The house is centrally located near five restaurants and a great ice cream shop. Oxford market is also well stocked down the street. Can't wait to make a return trip!

Jul 12, 2015 · Google ReviewOur last minute gataway to Oxford over the Memorial day weekend was made extra special by the wonderful accomodations at the Nichols house garden cottage. Luann and her husband are most gracious and welcoming hosts. Their cottage, tucked away in a luscious garden in full bloom is a perfect hideaway for two. Tasteful decor, all essential amenities, great location right in town and walking distance to the park, the market and the town beach make Nichols House cottage our Oxford secret hideaway to come back to :)
