Ben is a wonderful host and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is going well for the guests. The property is stunning with beautiful, old trees, an expansive lawn and being right on the water. We love beach combing and the little beach was full of shells, sea glass and other treasures. The rooms are immaculate and have a feeling of being from another era. It was so relaxing that we tacked on another day to our vacation because we weren’t ready to leave this lovely gem of a hotel!

Our stay at Sandaway Suites was one of the most relaxing and memorable getaways we’ve experienced. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful, quiet atmosphere allowed us to completely unwind. The breathtaking sunsets over the water and the mesmerizing sight of sailboats gracefully gliding across the bay created the perfect backdrop for relaxation. We especially enjoyed strolling along the shoreline, collecting beautiful seashells, and simply taking in the natural beauty. The contactless check-in and check-out process was seamless, efficient, and refreshingly convenient. One of our favorite touches was the delicious breakfast and fresh coffee delivered to our door each morning at 7:00 a.m.—a thoughtful amenity that made every day begin on a perfect note. Innkeeper Ben Gibson truly elevated our stay. His recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and activities were outstanding and made our visit even more enjoyable. His hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional. As someone with a Type A personality who is always on the go, I rarely slow down. Sandaway Suites accomplished something remarkable—it completely calmed and refreshed me. That alone speaks volumes about this special place. If you’re looking for a peaceful waterfront retreat with exceptional hospitality, beautiful scenery, and thoughtful touches, I highly recommend Sandaway Suites. We are already looking forward to returning.

Whether you are traveling on your own, with friends, or with a partner, the peaceful location and quiet grounds will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. From the morning coffee, delivered outside your door each morning, to the perfect, private beach and lounge chairs all over the sprawling lawn, every minute spent here is a dream. I thought I would venture further out, but ended up spending almost the entire time on the property. I already can not wait to come back and visit! Thank You for a seriously peaceful and beautiful stay.

My partner and I stayed at Sandaway for a weekend this July and loved it. The staff is friendly, gracious, easy to find and helpful. The buildings and suites are historic, charming as can be, comfortable, clean, well maintained, and unique. The grounds are gorgeous, peaceful, with lot's of space to relax, lounge and look at the water. I can't say enough good things about Sandaway, we will definitely be back.

What a beautiful building and amazing location! This is a gem of a place to stay. Rooms are clean and furnished very nicely. The historic home has an interesting history along with the surrounding area. It was a important port for the British in the early part of our country. The service is very friendly and caring and is very open about sharing some of the history of the area. The views from the property are wonderful and the sunset is even more amazing. You can walk into town for yummy ice cream and explore the few shops and stores in town.
