The Little Red Schoolhouse
The Little Red Schoolhouse was built in 1885, and is the only remaining one-room schoolhouse in Talbot County. Also known as Longwoods Elementary and Germantown Consolidated School, first through seventh grade students were taught here. Electricity was added in 1936 and indoor plumbing in 1951.
After closing, the Talbot County Commissioners restored the schoolhouse to its original condition in 1969.
The Little Red Schoolhouse is not open regularly for visitors, but there is a historical marker on site that can be viewed.

Very nice historical property outside of Easton, MD. It's amazing what you find when you take the back roads.
