Great location and our room was nice. Expensive and not worth the price.|Disappointed with breakfast; basically continental with mini cold quiche.|Most of the staff was friendly; however, one woman was terse with my husband when he mistakenly assumed that we would get canned water replacement. Evidently, you only get it on arrival. Bring your own or pay $2.12 per can.|It’s Maryland, so taxes and fees are high.|No maid service, but |Hotel added a $25.00 daily amenity fee.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and on the second night our room was flooded by the flash storm. The doorway was submerged under water and our bags got wet, although no major damage. The Wildset manager was kind enough to refund us the stay for the night without us asking. Great service!

This is a really lovely place to stay the people who work here are so friendly and helpful. This 4 star is strictly for Room 304 in the brick building. Constant foot traffic thumping above, pacing just backand forth, on and on. Who does this?? This is the second night. Thought yesterday would be a one off because constant walking like that is something I've never experienced in a hotel before. All that aside, the staff are just the nicest and most accommodating.

Staff were incredibly hospitable, the room was very clean and up to date, and the grounds were beautiful. The walls were a little thin and we could hear people above us but it wasn’t awful. I think our biggest complaint is that the bed was super soft and we woke up sore both mornings. When we first laid down it almost felt like a water bed. I suppose it’s a preference thing but if you need a firm bed, you may want to consider staying elsewhere.

The hotel was recently renovated and has a very modern feel. Ruse, the restaurant on-site, was fantastic for dinner.||The hotel itself was good, but not great. There was nothing glaringly wrong with our stay, but the rating reflects the poor value for the price. For a premium rate, we expected premium amenities, and Wildset fell short of that expectation.||Here is a laundry list of small inconveniences, again, at a more reasonable price, these minor details would be unreasonable expectations. The room did not have a coffee maker, and the coffee shop next door was not included for guests. Room charges were also not available. The bathroom was small and could only comfortably fit one person at a time, with a single small sink. There was no full-length mirror. The room included only two small waters, with no additional complimentary water. Cucumber water was available in the main building, but that was inconvenient for guests staying across the street. Parking was also limited. Staff seemed poorly trained on what amenities were available, we were not greeted with professional guest services you'd expect at the premium rate. Other guests complained noise through thin walls.||The included breakfast was good, though limited. It was buffet-style and had only one protein option, quiche.||If you are looking for other accommodations, I would recommend the Log Canoe. It is less modern, but has a better location, nicer rooms, and was about half the price, making it a significantly better value.

Add to that the timeless allure of St. Michaels, and it’s an unforgettable destination. That said, what we will remember—and treasure most—is the extraordinary hospitality. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely welcome. Their attentiveness was remarkable without ever feeling intrusive—a balance that is difficult to achieve and one they have truly mastered. We’re already looking forward to our next stay.
