Located in the heart of downtown Easton, this historic hotel is a good place for first time visitors who want to be able to explore all that the town has to offer. We were in a family suite on the top floor and we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a very clean room, with a view right onto the front of the building. Staff were very friendly and it was great having fresh coffee in the lobby in the morning. As we had a suite, space was not an issue, and the bed was comfortable enough. However, as other reviewers have noted, the bathrooms are tiny! What I did appreciate is that the shower stall was spacious with great water pressure. One other small negative was the noisy air conditioning. A big plus is that the hotel is (small) dog friendly.

Lovely stay at the Tidewater and delicious meals too. We were attending a concert at the Avalon and the inn was so convenient for our needs. Love the old building feel while being totally modernized. We’ll be back!❤️

I stayed here many years ago. I have nothing but the best memories of my time spent there. Everything was beautiful. I got in late and hadn't had dinner. The restaurant still seated me even though almost everyone else was almost finished. I was neved rushed and the waiter was very gracious telling me to take my time. The rooms were very nice. All the staff was friendly and accommodating.

It’s a three star hotel so I can’t be too picky. Service is good when there is staff to help you which isn’t often the case. The person at the front desk was always on the phone so could not help me. The mugs in my hotel room were not clean so that was a big turn off. Nice thing about this place is you have the bar and restaurant right there but they’re not open for breakfast on weekdays. Also, the location is the best.

The Tidewater Inn has always been a staple. A Super nice hotel right in the middle of downtown and the price reflects that. Growing up in that area, I never stayed at the Tidewater until years later when I came back for a visit. Unfortunately, the room was extremely disappointing. Right when we entered the room, I immediately noticed that management clearly doesn’t have any attention for detail. The mini fridge was one of the small cube shaped fridges. This is pretty normal, but what was odd is that the fridge was sitting by itself on the floor. It was not elevated onto a table or Hidden inside a cabinet as most hotels would do. So in order to utilize this refrigerator, you actually have to get down on your hands and knees on the carpet. Next, the TV was a 32 inch but the distance from the TV to my head on the pillow of the bed was about 25 feet. So it was way too small for that size room. Again, not really an issue, but with such a nice hotel, you would expect certain details. Other little things include a large area of sticky stuff on the bedside table, which was very noticeable and wiped away easily with a wet rag, the coffee machine was sitting haphazard on the corner of the dresser with the cord trailing across the wall down behind the refrigerator. So in reality, these are all very small things that really detracted from what is marketed as a very nice upscale expensive hotel in Talbott County. I think the worst part is that all of these issues could be fixed with very little effort. Hang the TV on the wall, put the refrigerator in a cabinet or on some kind of table and run chords along the baseboard of the wall so they’re not hanging in Plainview of the guest. 🤷‍♂️
