Our 3-night stay during Labor Day weekend at the picturesque George Brooks House B&B was delightful, romantic, and relaxing. The innkeeper and his staff are friendly and welcoming. This B&B is about 1 mile away from the busiest area of St Michaels, which we found to be perfect for us. We loved how peaceful the inn was, while just a couple of minutes away from the restaurants and attractions. We stayed in room #8, which is a large, beautifully furnished room on the second floor, with a spacious jacuzzi tub. Our room was clean and the king bed, though a bit bouncy, was really comfortable. There were 4 quality pillows of varying firmness. There are windows on 3 sides of the room, looking out over a lovely flower garden and an inviting outdoor pool. The two chairs in the room's sitting area gave us a perfect spot to relax and plan our day in the morning, or reminisce about our day in the evenings. The private bathroom is small, but the shower has great water pressure, and the fan worked so well that I could style my hair without steam causing trouble. The thermostat is controlled inside the room, but there's also an efficient window unit, and a ceiling fan above the bed. We tend to like our room cooler than most, and we had no trouble with that here. The daily breakfast, included in the cost of our room, was filling and delicious…guests select their preferred time slot. Starting the day at an elegantly laid out breakfast table, with the friendly conversation of other guests (if one prefers that) was such a pleasant way to begin each day. Breakfast for our three days was (1) a Syrian-spiced sausage/pepper/potato hash topped with a poached egg, (2) apple-stuffed French toast and sausage, and (3) veggie quiche with potatoes. Each day they also provided a first course of fresh fruit or a parfait, and oven-fresh muffins. Everything was prepared at the inn each morning, and sometimes included items from the innkeeper's own vegetable garden (best tomato I've ever eaten). Guests are able to make their own coffee or tea, with a variety of options for each. Orange juice is also served. There's a stash of bottled water and sodas for guests to use throughout their stay. We couldn't be happier with our stay at the George Brooks House B&B. We were only 2 hours from home, but the quality of our experience really helped us to feel like we had gotten away for a great vacation. TIPS: Definitely take advantage of breakfast at the inn. Lots of R&R at this B&B with a wonderful weekend getaway at the George Brooks Bed and Breakfast Inn in St. Michaels, Maryland. The setting was quiet, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing—exactly what I needed for a well-deserved escape. One of the highlights was hearing Will, the current inn owner, share the rich history of the property. His stories added a special, personal touch to the stay and made the experience feel much more meaningful than a typical overnight visit. The inn has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and every detail made it easy to slow down and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, history, and genuine hospitality not that far from home.

First time in St. Michaels and we booked this Inn for one night based on the web pictures. The gardens were beautiful and the bed was comfortable but this place really needs a deep clean and update. Unnecessary clutter was everywhere. There was no bedspread on the bed, the soap in shower only had water in bottle and a dog left a "souvenir" in the bathroom. We did not stay for the breakfast.

We had a pleasant stay at the George Brooks House. Will received us and gave us a good introduction to the property as well as dinner recommendations in town, but that was the only interaction we had with the owners. The property was quiet and restful; just outside of St. Michael's and off the busy main highway (and easy to miss because there is no obvious signage). Our room was spacious, clean, amd well-lit. The grounds were attractive. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available all of the time, as was a community refrigerator (none in rooms). Breakfast included a tasteful selection of muffins, a cup of mixed fresh fruit, a piece of French toast casserole, and bacon. Our criticisms were not major, but with some details that fail to compare well with other comparably priced B&Bs from our experience. Our room had instructions to refrain from changing the temperature control. Fortunately it was cool enough to open windows and not require a/c. Some of the electrical outlets didn't work, so we had to charge cell phones in the bathroom. Some of the window blinds were broken and difficult to adjust. We noticed a few other cosmetic things that could be improved, such as touching up drywall and paint, but nothing that was unsafe or unsanitary.
