Based on the zero comments in the guest book on the coffee table since June 2026 in the guest book on the coffee table in the reception in the reception area versus the innumerable glowing reviews until then – and based on a management change that seems to have occurred at about that time, this B&B can no longer live up to it's 5 star reviews. We stayed for several days in room # 4. It was a tad larger than the other queen (room #3) on the second floor of the Parsonage House and our room had a small closet, which #3 does not, but our $400+ per night room was nonetheless, small. There was little space for our luggage, no night table for my husband's CPAP, and unless we were walking in the same direction, only one of us could move around the three sides of the bed at a given time. Never mind! We shared what looked to be a lovely outdoor deck with rooms #2 and #8. Except … we could not lock the door to the deck from the inside and — due to an very loud, high-pitched condenser in back of the restaurant next door, we could not enjoy using the deck during the day. The condenser was so loud I could barely sleep at night. Our room temperature ranged from hot to comfortable to "goosebumps" cold. This was because the three second floor rooms (rooms #2, #3, and #4) with inside access, all share a single thermostat – in a supposedly locked box in the shared hallway that any of us could reach inside to adjust. When new occupants arrived and found their room to be hot they would then set the thermostat very low, leaving my husband and me freezing. Our rooms were not serviced at all during our three night stay, nor were we asked about our preference. Most disappointing – If you are used to an on-site, knowledgeable B&B host who has a personal investment in and can tell you about the house, who can recommend nearby activities and restaurants etc., is relational and/or takes an interest in you, you won't find that here. We learned that the hosts, Ed and Connie, live elsewhere and that they now spend their working hours at their other B&B property, George Brooks [see the George Brooks' website, on which the owners state that they are on-site from 7 am to 7 pm each day.] The parsonage inn has been left in the care of a sweet and earnest young female from Ukraine with somewhat limited English who is responsible for everything from greeting and checking in guests for the inn's eight rooms, to preparing and serving breakfasts. She may also be responsible for cleaning the rooms. In any case, perhaps due to her youth [i.e. limited experience] as well as her limited English, she did not respond when we told her we couldn't lock the door to the deck. We discussed the condenser and the thermostat issues with the other upstairs guests at our final breakfast and learned that everyone had similar frustrations. Due to the overall pressure she seemed under, my spouse and I did not try to tell the young host about the condenser or the thermostat issues. She was already doing her best to fill the shoes she'd been given to fill.

Jul 24, 2026 ยท Google ReviewOur recent three-day stay at the Parsonnage Inn was good but not without problems. We stayed in room #3 which faces a busy street. The room was small, but victorian houses were not designed for modern queen sized bed and its tall mattress. On the other hand, Victorians would have given the sink a nice clean wipe every day and emptied the small trash can. They would also have had windowes with working window shashes. Most difficult for us was the lack of effective AC during a couple of very hot days. The thermostat that regulates this room is in the hallway and our room temperature changed unpredictably from 64F to 82 F on the same temperature setting. Our nights were not comfortable and our request to be moved to a different room were delined (the inn was not fully booked). Like many Victorians we made the best of it and enjoyed the company of the other guests and the lovely places in St. Michaels very much.
Jun 13, 2026 ยท Google ReviewMy husband and I and another couple came to St. Michael's for a 2 day get away. I found this charming place online. It is a wonderful old home with all the amenities of home. The breakfast was delicious and so filling. The location was excellent. Directly across the street was the Maritime Museum and we were right on Talbot Street to walk the shops and see the sights. I highly recommend this place.
May 25, 2026 ยท Google ReviewWe loved your this cozy inn. Valeria welcomed us and our friends and is a friendly, lovely lady. She served delicious breakfast and coffee and she happily accommodated our friend who is gluten free. The Keurig was nice to have if we wanted coffee or tea when we woke up. Nutrigrain bars were nice too. Our room #1 was comfortable and the sheets and towels were high quality. The lotion and bath shampoo and soap were quality too. Outside deck and chairs and the front porch were nice to enjoy a glass of wine. If we find ourselves in St Michaelโs in the future we will definitely stay here again. Linda & Joe Gallagher
Apr 29, 2026 ยท Google ReviewWhat a lovely B&B! We booked via a third party site and the owner called me to offer a reduced rate for our room if we changed the booking to direct with them. It definitely made sense and I appreciated the call.||The inn is charming and has a nice sitting area and dining room. Valeria made us a delicious breakfast each morning and she was such a nice welcoming lady. A Keurig and k-cups were available in the sitting room for us the help ourselves anytime. Tea and breakfast bars were also offered. ||The sheets in our room were super soft Egyptian cotton and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bath towels were also thick and soft.||Weโll definitely stay again if weโre in St Michaelโs.
