We hosted our wedding celebration at the Milk Truck Garage at The Wildset and had such a wonderful experience. One of the things that originally drew us to The Wildset was the location right on Talbot Street in St. Michaels. When we booked, their event space had also just opened in 2025, which made it exciting to be able to create something that felt very much our own. The event space is truly a blank slate, which we loved. We were able to bring in rental furniture and décor and completely transform the space to fit our vision. The Wildset team was very responsive throughout the planning process and worked closely with both my planner and me. They were also extremely flexible. We did two site visits before the event, and they were always helpful with coordinating rentals and logistics. We chose to do our food and beverage package through the venue, and our guests were extremely happy. We had passed hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening along with an open bar, and the food from the chef at Ruse was wonderful. Our guests really enjoyed everything. On the night of the event, everything ran smoothly. The servers and bartenders were all incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, and you could genuinely tell they were happy to be there. Our guests were enjoying themselves all night, which is exactly what we hoped for. I would absolutely recommend The Wildset for a wedding celebration or private event, especially if you are looking for a beautiful, centrally located space in St. Michaels that you can really make your own. One thing I would keep in mind is the size of the space. We were told the venue can accommodate up to 126 guests, but we had around 80 and personally felt that anything much larger may have started to feel tight. We also did not have a seated dinner, so I would expect the comfortable guest count to be even smaller if you are planning a fully seated reception. Overall, we were so happy with our experience and loved how our celebration came together.

Great location within walking distance to all of town. The staff were amazing, so kind and eager to make our stay perfect! We had a room on the second floor of the main building. It was a nice space, plenty of room and bathroom was a great size. Bed was a bit weird, it didn’t seem to be the same size as the bed platform and was a bit ‘dead’ to sleep on. The noise level was a bit loud through walls and doors, while it did quiet down through the evening it was loud (busy hallway and you can audibly hear people talking in other room) it was fine as our ‘neighbors’ we quite but would be an issue if they were loud or had a small child, etc. Bathroom was a good size but a bit dark with the deep colored tile. While I love a good hand thrown look the finish quality could have been a bit better on the shower. Doesn’t impact the stay but I think will show wear and tear over the years. Breakfast was included and had good options available. Parking was convenient as well. Overall a good experience, not sure it was worth the price we paid but I wouldn’t not recommend it to others either.

One of the nicest boutique hotels in the region. Every detail was considered in design and decor with few exceptions. The small shop in the lobby has lovely gifts for every taste and any extra you may have forgotten. My favorite amenity was the breakfast in Ruse.

Absolutely amazing experience at The Wildset Hotel! Room was nice, bright and clean!Also our room had a balcony where we could enjoy our morning coffee! Stuff was very friendly and always ready to help! Also they have areas where you can relax outside. The hotel provides bicycles for you to explore the town or to get something to eat. Definitely we are planning to come back! Perfect location and perfect hotel!

Great location and our room was nice. Expensive and not worth the price.|Disappointed with breakfast; basically continental with mini cold quiche.|Most of the staff was friendly; however, one woman was terse with my husband when he mistakenly assumed that we would get canned water replacement. Evidently, you only get it on arrival. Bring your own or pay $2.12 per can.|It’s Maryland, so taxes and fees are high.|No maid service, but |Hotel added a $25.00 daily amenity fee.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and on the second night our room was flooded by the flash storm. The doorway was submerged under water and our bags got wet, although no major damage. The Wildset manager was kind enough to refund us the stay for the night without us asking. Great service!

This is a really lovely place to stay the people who work here are so friendly and helpful. This 4 star is strictly for Room 304 in the brick building. Constant foot traffic thumping above, pacing just backand forth, on and on. Who does this?? This is the second night. Thought yesterday would be a one off because constant walking like that is something I've never experienced in a hotel before. All that aside, the staff are just the nicest and most accommodating.
