There's almost nothing not to like about the Tidewater Inn except, the mattresses in our room were absolutely worn out sink holes. Every thing else was very nice. But really, I would pay more for a decent mattress.

Very nice facilities at the Tidewater Inn! The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. Hunters Tavern is an added bonus with great food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!

This is a gorgeous property at a great value! Walkable to all the sites in town! Free parking behind the hotel. Breakfast can be found at Eat Sprout behind the hotel. Curl up with a book in the beautiful courtyard with a huge fountain. Have happy hour in the bar and eat inside or on the patio at their restaurant. My room was small but completely renovated with a modern bath. Lamp on the nightstand even had a dimmer switch which most hotels lack. Be sure to visit the free art museum 2 blocks away.

The Tide Water Inn was excellent. The shuttle existed and was there – thank you James! We saw the staff and they were so nice. Checked the beds and no stains! We’ve been traveling 18 years and we’ve been everywhere: this is the best place we’ve stayed. Thank you Tide Water!
