carolynb578We stayed in a waterfront room on the first floor. Easy to access although the hotel may not be accessible to the disabled. Our room was quite SMALL with a full bed; not queen. When we walked into the room it was FREEZING. We tried to control the temperature, but not no avail. They provided us with a space heater which was just the right size for the room. The food is good and the staff are friendly. I just don't think the PRICE of the room matches the things that we are used to in other hotels : a place to put your luggage, a desk or lounge chair, small fridge. ||Not much to do in Tilghan Island, but if you want privacy and quiet with a resort feel, this is the place.

Kelly MasleyWylder checks almost all the boxes. The property is lovely, as are the staff. There are generous amenities, the food and drinks are great, and the quaint shore aesthetic is well done. The room was the only aspect that prevents a robust 4 stars. Maybe our room —a partial water view queen (and I have very serious doubts that was a queen bed)—was an anomaly, but it was humid to the point of making our clothing feel significantly damp all weekend. For a waterfront property with a pool, I wanted more hooks as options for towels and swimsuits. The dampness in close quarters combined with a heavy deodorizer fragrance gave the room an airless feel. The wall unit AC worked fine but blew right on the bed from 18” away so that was almost too far in the other direction, and certainly isn’t for everyone when it comes to sleeping. The bathroom was pretty small with limited surfaces and the shower was capsule-tiny. Despite the room’s shortcomings, they went for a nice, nautical aesthetic and the property as a whole was lovely. We loved the grab & go bikes, and had great meals both in St. Michael’s (Ruse was flawless) and on Tilghman Island (Two if by Sea). I highly recommend tracking down where you can buy Tilghman Island Baking Co cinnamon rolls—likely the best I’ve ever tasted. They don’t (yet) have a storefront but can be ordered or are sold at weekend stall markets.
