2025 brings exciting new attractions and updates to Talbot County’s vibrant cultural scene.
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum added a stunning 12,000 square foot welcome center to their 18-acre waterfront campus. A new exhibit was debuted. Sailing to Freedom: Maritime Dimensions of the Underground Railroad runs through 2025. It highlights little-known stories and describes the less-understood maritime side of the Underground Railroad.
The free, Academy Art Museum also debuted a new exhibit, Bugatti: Reaching for Perfection. The exhibit runs through April 13, 2025, and features rare automobiles, sculpture, and furniture from the Bugatti family.

Plein Air Easton, one of the country’s leading art events is entering a new decade, having celebrated 20 years in 2024. Juried artists from across the country keep this event fresh every year.
Three new art galleries have emerged in downtown Easton. Spiralis Gallery, owned by Gail Patterson, features contemporary Afro-Caribbean art. The Zebra Gallery is owned by award-winning local fiber artist, Susan Schauer John. TRA Gallery, standing for Talbot Resident Artist Gallery, is a partnership between Talbot Arts and Dock Street Foundation providing exhibit space for independent visual artists in Talbot County.
Studio 2 launched in St. Michaels, featuring local artists representing a variety of genres and media.
